vCard Bridge Privacy Policy

vCard Bridge is provided by DEJ Software™. This privacy policy explains how the app handles information.

Information handled by the app

vCard Bridge processes vCard text supplied by the user in either of these ways:

Text copied to the device clipboard and detected when vCard Bridge is opened
Compatible text shared directly to vCard Bridge through Android's sharing system

The app examines this text to identify valid vCard data and determine how many vCards it contains.

On-device processing

vCard and contact text is processed locally on the user's device. DEJ Software™ does not transmit this information to its own servers and does not collect or store copies of it remotely.

When the user selects Import, vCard Bridge provides the validated vCard data to the contacts application chosen by the user. Handling of that data after it is transferred is governed by the chosen contacts application and its privacy practices.

vCard Bridge does not read the user's existing contacts.

Purchases and trial status

Direct Share is available through a free trial and may require an in-app purchase afterward.

Purchases are processed through Google Play. DEJ Software™ does not receive or store the user's payment-card information. Google Play may provide the app with purchase-status information needed to determine whether a feature has been unlocked.

The app may store trial and feature-access status locally on the device.

Advertising and analytics

vCard Bridge does not contain advertising and does not use third-party advertising or analytics services.

Information collected by DEJ Software™

DEJ Software™ does not require users to create an account and does not collect names, email addresses, contact lists, vCard contents, clipboard contents, or imported contact information through the app.

If a user voluntarily contacts DEJ Software™ by email, the information included in that correspondence will be used only to respond to the inquiry and provide support.

Data sharing

DEJ Software™ does not sell user information.

vCard data is shared only with the contacts application selected by the user when the user initiates an import. Purchase processing and purchase-status verification are handled through Google Play.

Data retention and deletion

Because DEJ Software™ does not receive vCard or contact data, it does not retain that data on its servers.

App-specific information stored locally can be removed through the device's application settings or by uninstalling vCard Bridge. Contacts already imported into a contacts application must be managed or deleted through that contacts application.

Purchase records maintained by Google are governed by Google's policies.

Security

vCard Bridge is designed to keep vCard processing on the device and to transfer vCard data only when the user requests an import. No method of software operation can guarantee absolute security, but the app minimizes exposure by not sending vCard or contact text to a DEJ Software™ server.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the app's features or information-handling practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published.
