Typing, speech, and saved phrases
Echoes, letter case, and word suggestions
In Settings, ECHO: Letters and Words control spoken typing feedback independently. Vibrate is a separate acceptance-feedback option. Echoes and test speech do not add entries to spoken History.
Enable mixed-case typing controls whether lowercase, Shift, and Caps Lock are available. It starts off in the web app and on in the Android keyboard. Uppercase-only mode removes Shift. Caps Lock and uppercase-only mode uppercase inserted phrases; they do not rewrite saved originals. The web app also uppercases explicitly pasted text in these modes. Android Paste is handled by the current app and follows that app’s behavior. One-letter Shift preserves an inserted phrase's capitalization.
Word suggestions use an offline vocabulary rather than learning everything you type. Settings offers Everyday words, General dictionary, Medical terms, and Medications. Medical terms has subcategories for conditions, symptoms, anatomy, lab tests, procedures, and abbreviations.
The Medical terms parent checkbox shows whether all, some, or none of its subcategories are enabled. Activating it turns all subcategories on unless they are already all on, in which case it turns them off. Disabling all word groups hides suggestions. Medical vocabulary assists spelling; it does not provide treatment guidance.
