Typing, speech, and saved phrases

No sound, the wrong voice, or speech failing offline

Open Help / About → Speech and use TEST SPEECH. If it is silent:

1. Check the device's media volume.
2. Check headphones and Bluetooth audio routing.
3. Try Device default or another available voice.
4. Test again with the app open and the screen unlocked.

A completed speech test means the speech engine reported completion; it does not prove that the sound reached your speaker. The app cannot reliably inspect your volume or Bluetooth routing.

For offline use, choose a locally available voice and test it with the network disconnected. Browser voices vary by operating system and browser. On Android, install suitable offline English voice data through Android's speech settings when necessary.

If typing works but SPEAK remains disabled, check for a private field, an empty message/field, or an unavailable voice. Include speech diagnostics in a support request only after reviewing them. Do not include private message text unless you deliberately choose to share it.
