Production, preprod, and missing settings

The normal app is Communicate production. Preprod is for trying changes before they become the normal version.

Production and preprod deliberately keep separate settings, Favorites, History, and Welcome state, even on the same hostname. Changing a setting in one does not change the other.

Browser storage also differs between browsers, devices, browser profiles, and hostnames. For example, dejsoftware.com and www.dejsoftware.com are separate storage locations. If your saved phrases seem missing, check the address and browser you used before. Do not clear site data while investigating.

After a candidate becomes production, preprod may show a forwarding page identifying the released update instead of the test app. Follow its production link. Open offline sessions may continue showing their previously cached version until they reconnect.
