Communicate Keyboard — Android

Install, enable, and choose Communicate Keyboard

Communicate Keyboard requires Android 8.0 or newer. It is currently offered through testing channels; see the project page for current availability.

After installing:

  1. Open Communicate Keyboard from your app launcher.
  2. Choose Enable keyboard and enable it in Android's keyboard settings.
  3. Return and choose Choose keyboard, then select Communicate Keyboard.
  4. Open an ordinary text field and try typing.

Enabling a keyboard makes it available. Choosing it makes it the active input method. If another keyboard appears, choose Communicate Keyboard again using Android's keyboard selector or the setup app.

Android shows a general warning when enabling third-party keyboards. Review the product's privacy policy before deciding. Private fields suppress speech, suggestions, and Favorites access.

Welcome and practice appear on first activation after installation or an update. You can reopen Welcome from Help / About.
